A strong showing across the entire weekend saw Emirates GBR qualify for the Final in first place and, while they trailed Australia for much of the winner-takes-all clash, an elite maneuver just before the final gate gained Ben Ainslie's team the lead - and a valuable event victory.

There was plenty of other drama on the Côte d'Azur as well, with Canada being docked eight penalty points for a collision with Spain, and New Zealand being ruled out the entire second day due to their F50 wing collapsing in catastrophic scenes.
