Australia won their home Sail Grand Prix in Sydney to qualify for the Season 2 Grand Final, with the United States also booking their place in the winner-takes-all Championship decider.

Tom Slingsby's team showed great consistency across the event to claim victory in front of a packed Sydney Harbour, with the USA's runners-up finish enough to secure them a spot in March's Grand Final in San Francisco.
