Seeing how popular Crypto.com sports prediction markets were in the US, we gave them a shot. The site allowed us to trade predictions on sports events in top leagues like the UFC and the NHL.
Even better, Crypto.com Derivatives North America offers sports prediction trading that complies with CFTC rules. Fees can apply when you open or close a trade, and they may vary depending on the outcome.
As we proceed, you’ll know how event contract trading on sports works, what other prediction categories are on the cards, and more.
Facts
- Crypto.com offers prediction markets for football, motorsports, and a few other options to US traders
- It comes with markets such as event winners and futures
- You need to be at least 18 and live in an eligible state to use them
- Sports event contract trading is only available on the Crypto.com Android or iOS app
One of the things that drew our attention to Crypto.com sports predictions is that it’s well-regulated. There aren’t many markets, but they feature common topics. Here are some highs and a few lows:
Pros and Cons - Available in many US states
- Covers top sports like football
- Combo predictions available
- Prediction markets are limited
What Are Sports Prediction Markets Really Like at Crypto.com?
During our Crypto.com prediction market review, the app allowed us to buy, sell, and trade event contracts for sports. We traded “Yes” or “No” event contracts based on how likely we think an event will occur.
Contracts settle at amounts you see on the site, often around $1, $10, or $100 if you get the predictions right. You’ll receive nothing for wrong calls.
We also noticed that Crypto.com fees (technology and exchange fees) may apply when opening or closing a position and may differ depending on the outcome of the event contract. They can slightly vary by market or change over time; check the fee schedule for updates.
Sports Prediction Markets Available at Crypto.com
Speaking of predictions, we encountered event contracts for several sports and leagues, along with a few markets. Here are some of the options we tested:
Sports
- Fighting
- Basketball
- Motorsports
- Baseball
- Golf
- Soccer
- Hockey
- Football
Common Trading Markets
- Totals
- Futures
- Winner
- Spread
We noticed long-term predictions had more trading options than the rest. At the time of testing, we traded predictions on the golfers who would compete in the Masters Tournament that year and the player who would likely win the Pro Basketball Rookie of the Year award.
Besides predicting the likely victor in a match or tourney, you can trade on a tie. We tried this option when working with the Austin and Los Angeles winner prediction market. Depending on the event, the trading price for a draw can be lower.
Tips for Trading Sports Event Contracts on Crypto.com
One thing we’ve come to realize is that it’s not enough to know where to find the Crypto.com sports markets. Here are a few tips to help you trade sports event contracts:
Verify your details
We had to confirm our email and number with codes sent to our inboxes to continue registration. It also requested our driver’s license or state ID for verification.
The prediction market site will feed you with almost all the details you need to trade. Regardless, only the Crypto.com app allows registration and participation in sports prediction trading. We found that it’s available for download on Android and iOS devices through their respective online stores.
Availability may boil down to your location. Read the fine print to confirm whether you can access it.
Confirm that You’re in An Eligible State
Crypto.com is available in 48 US states and their territories. Currently, the only states where the platform doesn’t operate are New York and Arizona. However, the sports prediction markets come with additional restrictions.
Residents of Michigan, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, Ohio, New Jersey and Illinois won’t be able to trade sports predictions at Crypto.com. The other prediction categories are still available, however.
Besides location, the site can also prevent you from using its products due to age. The minimum to join the site is 18, but you still need to compare it with what’s in your state’s rules.
Most sports prediction market sites hardly offer bonuses attached to event contract trading. The same went for Crypto.com in our tests. What we found was a welcome bonus that awards crypto rewards for completing traditional trading tasks, but that bonus doesn’t apply to the prediction markets.
No
Crypto.com promo code was needed to claim the offer. Just so you know, we aren’t ruling out the possibility of prediction-only bonuses for sports and other markets. Consider browsing through the promos section regularly for updates.
Try Combo Contracts
Combo contracts allow us to combine multiple prediction events into one trade. Remember, one wrong call can affect the combo.
| Market | Selection | Yes Chance | No Chance |
| Pro Basketball Finals MVP Winner 2026 | Shai Gilgeous-Alexander | 45% | 90% |
| F1 Drivers’ Champion 2026 | Kimmi Antonelli | 57% | 43% |
| Charles Schwab Challenge Winner | Ludvig Aberg | 10% | 55% |
Other Event Contract Trading Options on Crypto.com
At first, we only wanted to trade on Crypto.com sports markets and leave. When we saw one thing or the other about the US elections, our favorite music streaming sites, and more, we took a step back. Let’s see how they played out:
Climate
The brand doesn’t have many prediction markets for this section during our testing. There is only a market to trade predictions on whether a specific year would be among the hottest we’ve ever seen. The market will resolve based on data from the relevant US climate agency.
Politics
You’ll find “Yes” or “No” contracts on numerous political milestones at Crypto.com. There are election matchups for the upper chamber, lower house, presidential office, and party control in states like Georgia and Maine. We could also take positions in the gubernatorial elections in California and Minnesota.
Crypto
“]
It lets you predict the price performance of your preferred digital asset. We saw more than 10 cryptocurrencies, including SOL, BTC, DOT, and more. The prediction trading options update daily and weekly.
Economics
We didn’t see much here. Still, we bought a “No” contract on the likelihood of inflation in a specific month. You’ll also find markets for monthly Fed decisions and the US recession. Just so you know, there’s the financials category, which we believe will touch some topics that economics couldn’t. Granted, it wasn’t live at the time of our review. Nonetheless, it’ll offer predictions about the market performance of local currencies such as USD and EUR.
Pop Culture (Upcoming)
Most of what you’ll see is entries on online games, songs, and awards. This will provide event contract trading opportunities on the Video Game of the Year, Oscar nominations like Best Film Editing, Top Music on Spotify, and more.

Before we tested Crypto.com Predict, we figured that the sports event contracts would leave a good impression. That wasn’t far off from what we observed. We didn’t see many markets on the app, but it offered major options for a variety of mainstream events.
There were opportunities to buy “Yes” or “No” contracts on sports events from leagues like MLB, NBA, and UCL. One feature we appreciated is the combo contracts. It allowed us to put a few predictions under one trade. Overall, Crypto.com is a robust and reliable predictions trading platform.
